WHAT ARE WE WITHOUT AN INNER OPTIMIST?

Being in my 30s now, I’ve come to understand that life is not always easy. At this age, you have to stand on your own two feet, which comes with a lot of challenges. You also start to see the many flaws in the world we built. I've found that it is very important to find things that make you feel good and that feed your INNER OPTIMIST. So you maintain a positive outlook into the future. That's what I get from making music. I hope this album resonates with my listeners, offering them a glimpse of the same uplifting emotions that have carried me through the process of making it.

SAXOPHONE, GUITAR, DRUMS. NO BASS

I've been brought up with classical music and played a lot of classical chamber music in my teenage years. I guess this is the reason why I really like small band settings. I just really enjoy the intimacy of it. Leaving out the bass was a conscious decision. It adds to the airiness of the sound and creates a very special atmosphere. It makes the whole sound of the band more fragile (but it still got a lot of energy!). It's definitely a challenge for everyone involved.
